Accessible pop or a brilliant pastiche, I’m not sure!
An album full of glam rock, unapologetic rip offs (Jade – Hawkwind’s Silver Machine, There’s something in the water – Jim Steinman/Meatloaf etc) but it is probably unapologetically brilliant.
I did manage a second listen and my opinion swung back and forth as much as the diversity of the tracks but it did make me smile.
Would I investigate more of his back catalogue? Probably not, too tongue in cheek for me but I’m not sure whose cheek it is in!
Fave track the Simon & Garfunkel inspired Heart on Fire.
A wobbly 6/10 from me.
