Well, I don’t quite know why I’ve never stumbled across the band before, but certainly glad they are on my radar now.
One minute a bit Richard Thompson, the next War on Drugs and then Editors…and, my word, I love it!
Sivert’s deep, rich vocals, backed by exquisite musician-ship and songwriting make this one album I will be playing on loop for some time.
Definitely music that will reach out to a very diverse audience and I will be dipping into the back catalogue too, but for the time being, this album is all I need.
Stand outs? Difficult when all the tracks resonate with me. However, I’ll go with Running From The Love of Your Life and Stabat Mater (reminds me of VAST) It’ll be a different two next week I’m sure!)
