This isn’t my usual type of music but their pop-soul positivity has a wonderful charm about it. Bit of an 80s vibe in places and plenty of catchy melodies. Some of the lyrics did make me think of wholesome American shows like the Brady bunch, a bit sugary and “nice”. But there’s nothing wrong with that.
The song Twenty-five is nostalgic and beautifully sung. I do like Rachael’s voice, smooth and soulful. Good together has interesting rhythmic timing, kind of jazzy. Far gone and Get around were other stand out tracks for me. Others didn’t quite land. But I love the fact they’re clearly having a great time as a band and loving what they do.
